The title above is the theme of the seminar held by PT Fuji Staff, on February 6, 2010, with the keynote speaker Mr. Anton Sulis, a senior consultant at PT Multi Talent Indonesia. Why this theme? T Training Horenso his theme is the basic and the most important work ethic that should be acknowledged by an employee in Japanese company. Horenso is a unique communication system in Japanese way, which unlike western way we might more familiar with. Ho-Ren-So, is a Japanese abbreviation for Hokoku (report), Renraku (contacts), and Sodan (consultations). As we all might know, communication is on the top list for human relations success. For Japanese company, this Horenso is the communication characteristic that originally was born from Japanese culture since long time ago.
Generally, Ho-Ren-So is: (HO) To report immediately, diligently, honestly, when a job completed (obligation and voluntary effort) (REN) To share raw data immediately and share bad circumstances quickly, clearly and carefully (information sharing) (SO) To consult to superior when necessary and make own ideas to solve during consultation (synergy)
As the result of the seminar, the participants were asked to do self-assessment in implementing HORENSO and make personal target how to improve the HORENSO practice. Here are some of the samples for your reference to implement HORENSO in your job: To stop waiting for other to ask your help To start offering yourself to help other To continue regular report and information sharing To stop keeping the information or problem for yourself To start finding new ideas for company’s progress To continue good consultation with superior etc.
